Micron begins SSD manufacture

I have known of Micron for more than a decade as a memory producer so seeing them going into this market is not a surprise for me. They announced RealSSD products ranging from 1 gigabyte to 64 GB. Micron's new drives are available in 1.8-inch and 2.5-inch form factors, and do support SATA. There's also a USB version of these drives.

When I checked with them, they only had the 32GB version and that was in the sampling phase so it's not for sale. I checked availability of embedded USB and they only had 4GB version. That was also available only as sampling for distributors.
